We love sharing the stories of inspirational women during our virtual programs!
Our Gal Pals (and their parents) love it too!
What parents say:
Emily is really onto something. She has created that perfect mix of fun + hands-on-learning + authentic connection in a virtual environment! I'd recommend Big Dreams Bloom to any family that wants to inspire their little girl to BLOOM!
I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful virtual program that Simona did last week with Big Dreams Bloom. Emily Blomquist has done an incredible job crafting each and every session (journal keeping, tinkering encouraged, projects, art) highlighting important women in history that are not frequently talked about. Role models may not be the usual suspects, and why not Joan Proctor, Emma Lillian Todd, Evelyn Cheesman, Julia Morgan and Ruth Asawa (the women she learned about). I learned a lot too and had fun listening in. Simona really enjoyed meeting gals from other areas and the class size was small. What a breath of fresh air. Thanks Emily!
So grateful for Big Dreams Bloom for teaching my sweet "out of box thinker" she can be anything.
My daughter has enjoyed participating in Big Dreams Bloom sessions for the past year. We were looking for virtual enrichment programs during our time at home last year. Emily Blomquist has created a unique opportunity for our girls to learn the stories of amazing women throughout history and work on thematic STEM-related projects. It's also fun to engage with girls across the US. I learned about this program through a friend's Facebook post and I'm so grateful she shared it.
Anna absolutely loved her first session and has been asking every night how many days until the next one. You did a first class job! As expected! Thank you so much!
Caitlin absolutely LOVED (“like, LOVE-LOVED”) the session this afternoon. Thank you!!!! You are an extraordinarily gifted educator and an amazing role model for our girls!
Not only is it common for us to have meaningful conversations about the women she learns about in each lesson, but she now frequently talks about how she can "make a difference in the world, just like them."
Our daughter (7yo) absolutely LOVED her Big Dreams Bloom classes! There was so much thought put into the design of the experience to maximize learning AND the heartfelt connections with the teacher and her peers. In between classes, she could not stop talking about what she had learned - she was so proud. I was a high school science teacher... and I learned so much from the STEM classes she was going through. It was a great experience for the entire family!
What our Gal Pals like about Big Dreams Bloom:
I never want to stop taking these classes!
I get to be on the best Zoom call EVER!
I want to do this forever!
I like learning about women who have helped the world, being able to discuss important and real things, the fun art and science projects, and being with other girls and working on stuff together!

About the Founder
Emily Ann Blomquist has been a dedicated elementary education school-teacher for two decades. Emily received her Elementary Education degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Since then, she has applied her passion and love for teaching locally, with a special focus on burgeoning young minds.
Throughout her career, Emily has pioneered and implemented STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) programs at prominent private schools. These programs include summer camps and after-school activities envisioned, designed and created by her.
Emily recognized that a focus on female achievement within STEM was missing in schools. She saw an opportunity to create quality, interactive online group discussions and activities with a focus on STEM, geared toward young ladies. Emily created “Big Dreams Bloom” in response, allowing little girls to recognize HERstory in the history of powerful & influential women. The program has since touched the lives of hundreds of children & parents nationwide.
Emily is dedicated to helping girls achieve greatness by dreaming big, and realizing their full potential.
She would love to work with your daughter, and make her Big Dreams Bloom.
